Re:List Privacy Policy

In a nutshell

This privacy policy outlines and explains how Julian Ewers-Peters ("the company", "our company", "we", "us", "our", "epj apps") and any apps or services provided by us use the personal data collected from you. In a nutshell: We value your privacy.

What data do we collect from you?

Ideally, none. We always aim to limit the personal data we collect from you, because we are not interested in information that is not necessary to provide our services to you. However, not collecting any data is nearly impossible. The most common data that we collect from you, if disclosed to us, are your name and e-mail address. Our apps and games require some minimal amount of personal information. Please find the details in the following sub-sections.

Re:List may ask for access to the following information:

  • Personal identification information, including: Name, e-mail address, a randomly generated unique user identifier, IP address as well as your approximate geo-location, depending on what data is shared via the applicable sign-in method used when signing into the application
  • Any personal and non-personal information that you voluntarily and intentionally provide in the app (we kindly ask you to not store any personal information or any information that you would like to keep private or secret in the app).

No personal identification information is collected if you choose to not sign-in. Any already collected data from previous sign-ins will be retained as long as your Re:List account exists. More information about how data is stored and how you can deleted can be found further below.

How do we collect your data?

We only collect personal information from you if you agree to disclose it to us. We collect and process personal and non-personal data when you

  • Download and use one of our apps
  • Sign-in to one of our apps
  • Voluntarily send us an e-mail
  • Contact us in any other way (e.g. by phone or mail)

How will we use your data (and why)?

The use of your personal data is always limited to the absolute minimum required to provide our services to you. We collect and process your data so that we can

  • Reply to your inquiries to us
  • Help you with issues and problems that you have informed us about
  • Process in-app purchases you make
  • Improve our apps, games and services
  • Provide data synchronization using cloud services on all your signed-in devices

Our apps and games require personal information for limited and only strictly legitimate reasons. Please find the details in the following sub-sections.

Your e-mail address is requested if you want to use the cloud synchronization feature by signing in. If signed-in, a unique user ID (user UID) is also created to associate your account with the data you create and save in the app. No other data is permanently stored or linked to you. Anonymous app usage and crash statistics are collected to analyze problems with Re:List (only when signed-in) and provide the best possible user experience.

How do we store your data (and how can it be deleted)?

We do not directly store any personal data on our servers or permanent data storage devices, unless you disclose any information to us via e-mail. E-Mails are permanently and securely stored on our mail server until you request their deletion. However, some of your data is stored on third party servers. Please find the details in the following sub-sections.

When signed in, Re:List stores your e-mail and user UID as well as possibly any information you provide via the app or selected sign-in method on a secure cloud server in Western Europe (Cloud Firestore location: eur3 (europe-west)). For more information, please visit https://firebase.google.com/terms/ and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. If you want to delete your Re:List account and data, you can do so easily from within the app [just navigate to Settings and at the bottom click "Delete Account" and confirm the deletion when prompted]. Otherwise, you can also write an email to info@epj-apps.com. Your data will be deleted within one month.

How do we safeguard your information?

Our website uses SSL encryption to ensure minimum data security. We will implement the required safety measures to guarantee that your data will always be secured by current standards. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access or abuse our website, databases or services, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access. Any data stored on servers of third parties is subject to their respective data protection and safeguarding terms.

What Third-Parties may have access to your data?
